I forgot what word Haruhi uses for "sliders", but I think it's probably "besekaijin" (again, possibly incorrect romanization), judging from my (Japanese) copy of that Newtype special from way back when. Translates to "different world person", and since "people from another world/dimension" is unwieldy, I can't think of anything better than "slider".
異 is い, so 異世界人 is "isekaijin".
