I have new information regarding the use of translated quotes used to support discussion points.

You may use translated quotes in your discussion posts under these conditions.

1) The quote must be used to support your post. It can't be the reason for the quote. (If you've ever had to write a school essay that provides quotes to support your essay arguments, you'll have a good idea of what I'm talking about.)

2) The quote should be obviously related to your overall point. If your quote supports your point in the first paragraph, talks about something else for a few paragraphs, then goes back to supporting your point, edit the quote to only the relevant parts.

3) Do not say where you got your quote from. You can mention that the quote is from volume xx but don't say where you got the translation from. If someone asks you where it came, don't answer.

4) The quote shouldn't be too long.
