Spoiler for Silverback's Energy Shield/Armor:
The Silverback Combat Armor has two elements to its defenses; energy shield and armor plating. The Silverback's Energy Shield is the first line of defense of the Silverback. It works on a Regeneration/Restoration process.
Unlike the IS where it can't regenerate it's energy shield while active, the Silverback can regenerate it's own energy shield over time, if it's not getting any damage. As long as the energy shield doesn't break, it'll regenerate the energy shield countless times. However, if the Silverback's energy shield breaks, the Combat Armor will be "Downed", but not out. The cause of this, is the Silverback Spark will cease all other functions the moment the energy shield breaks, and will concentrate on restoring the energy shield.
There are two way of restoring the Silverback's energy shield; Let the Silverback Spark restore the energy shield itself, but it takes some time. Or another Silverback can restore it by picking up the downed Silverback.
Here's how it works:
Silverback A simply picks up Silverback B, that's down, in order for Silverback B to get back in the fight.
While that's going on, Silverback A's Spark will generate extra energy and transfers it to Silverback B's Spark. Silverback B's Spark will then use that extra energy to restore its energy shield. Resulting in Silverback B getting back into the fight.
But there are 2 downside to the Silverback's Energy Shield and Restoration; the energy shield's weaker than an IS's and the Restoration can only work 2 times per activation. Meaning that the Silverback can have its energy shield broke 2 times, and can be restored 2 times. If the energy shield breaks a 3rd time, the Silverback shuts down. But the armor plating will remain out to protect the user.
Look here:
Energy Shield Breaks 1st time
Down
Restoration/Back in the Fight
Energy Shield Breaks 2nd time
Down
Restoration/Back in the fight
Energy Shield Breaks 3rd time
Silverback shuts down, but armor remains "active".
The Armor Plating is the back-up defense of the Silverback. It's a full body armor, as in the armor protects all body parts, even joints. Don't fooled by its size and thinness. In theory, the armor plating could be stronger than an IS's. The reason for this is the armor plating's suppose to protect the user while the Silverback Spark's in the process of restoring the energy shield, or when the Silverback shuts down.
Any thoughts guys?...
StaroSpear, what do you think? Similar to Minerva's defenses?

1. the shield mechanism is interesting, and I'd say that's balanced enough.
2. It's not really hard to have better armor than an I.S., those armor on the I.S. despite the
theoretical strength, is damn thin (even I.S. punching each other when the shield down will cause heavy damage). The only one with considerable physical armor is Gospel, which able to shrug out out Akatsubaki Katana. Probably golem too.
