I saw some of the postings for translations and meanings in the forums section and decided to join. Although I only learnt japanese formally at uni for 1 year, I lived in Japan for 4 years & feel I may be able to contribute to that thread. I grew up with a lot of "old school" anime, Kimba, Marine Boy, Astroboy and was able to watch these as well as Gundam, & newer series starting in the 80's to 90's while I was there. I enjoy all feature length anime from Studio Ghibli. I may not be a total anime freak, but I do have a keen appreciation for the artwork, settings & themes. I own soft toys & figurines from some of the movies & series. ^_^
