Samurai + Ninja + Scientist + Aikido + Tai chi +Judo + impossible number to achieve amount of degrees. All this yet he couldn't figure charging infrom 5 feet away was a bad idea. He also again displayed zero Judo or Aikido in the fight not a single freaking throw not one. They instantly changed his martial arts style in the last ep pretty sure he was judo and something else when first introduced.
Again rushing in I can't think of a martial arts where finding your reach is not drilled in. Boxing use the jab to find your range if your a long distance fighter use head movement to get on the inside if your short,Wrestleing you have to get close to get a penetration step before you shoot a takedown. Judo you have to get close and get access to your opponents hips to do a throw. Any kicking style you have to find the right angle for it to get the most impact. Sorry but after the proper treatment attack on titan put in the martial arts aspect of the series I am holding every anime to the same standard if you are going to put a martial artist in your show have a basic understanding of martial arts.
