AAAAAA!!! The BEST! 8)
This is truly the funniest show this season and the one I can honestly say I enjoyed the most. I love shoujo in general, but this anime is simply above simple shoujo. It THE shoujo of shoujo. Love it!
Here's the quick rundown of the plot (based on episode 1, which just aired).

Haruhi (played by the amazing Maaya Sakamoto) is a very tomboyish bedraggled girl from a poor family that has enrolled in this high class prestigious school frequented seemingly only by classic ojou-sama's and bishounen.
Sounds like Hana Yori Dango? Wait, it gets better!
By mistake, she stumbles upon a Host Club. What's a host club? Well, you know what a maid cafe is, right? A Host Club is a maid cafe, but for the girls. Meaning that female customers are serviced by a bunch of pretty boys, each of them fitting a different fangirl fetish (like twins, shota, prince, wild boy, etc.)
By mistake, Haruhi manages to break a very expensive vase in the Host Club that costs 8 million yen, so now she is forced to serve the host club in various forms. Of course, none of them realize that she is a girl, because she looks so tomboyish and kinda nerdy. For a while Haruhi is doing menial jobs (to hilarious effect, like introducing instant coffee to this high society 8))), but soon enough they all realize that if Haruhi is dressed up and prettied up, he (she) would make an awesome bishounen!
so, now Haruhi works as part of the Host Club and the unknowing fangirls just fall all over her cuteness. 8)
Untill some other stuff happens (watch it yourself, it's the best) and one by one, the host club members realize that Haruhi is a girl (the prince's reaction is THE BEST!).
But since Haruhi is so popular with the fangirls, they decide to let her stay and continue the charade.
Oh, I loved this show so much. I am sure the girls will like the bishounen that are all over the place, but as a guy I must say this is truly one of the best shows this season. The way they are lampooning classical shoujo is simply beyond belief.
