Well, I might as well put in a small entry.
Spoiler for The Coin:
The Coin
"Okay sir, do you choose heads...or tails?"
"Um, I suppose...tails?"
The coin launched up into the air, spinning so quickly that one could never distinguish its front from its back. The young magician claps his hands around the descending piece of copper and opens them back up to show that there was nothing there.
"Son, that is a magnificent trick indeed. You've given this old man such great joy."
"Beg your pardon sir, but it's not over yet. Where do you suppose that precious coin went?"
The old man sat on the concrete floor and puzzled over the youngster's simple, yet unsolvable question. Did the coin slip into his sleeves? But he doesn't have any sleeves! How about into hidden pocket? Doesn't look like he's got any of those, either. The more the old man thought, the less he could comprehend it.
"Shall I tell you, good sir? Would you like to know?"
The old man replied with a small smirk and a tiny nod. It had been a while since he had this much fun in his life. The boy suddenly snaps his fingers and the old man's hand reached for his left pocket. It felt insanely heavy to him, as if something had magically appeared in there.
The hand reached into the pocket, and seconds later the contents spilled out, smashing against the concrete and making a symphony of beautiful clinking noises. The old man had never seen so much sparkle in his life, and here it was, sprawled the floor as if it was his own personal treasure chest.
"Y...you...how did you..."
The boy simply tipped his hat to the old man and walked away without another word. Looking up from the gleaming floor, the old man was suddenly very alone. He threw his weak body over the magician's trick, and all he could do was cry. He would never forget this magic trick, for it had granted him the best possible thing...another chance.
