I agree.. but this is the difference between Naruto and Sasuke (and why Sasuke is, imo, arrogant).
Sasuke feels the need to challenge in order for him to feel good about himself and would never admit his insecurities, while Naruto openly confronts his own inner turmoil to Hinata.. someone who he is not particularily attached to.

Yes, but you're forgetting everything prior to his challenge. He isn't exactly in his healthy state of mind.

Sasuke isn't any more arrogant than Naruto is. In his insecurities (Naruto) he boasts and belittles other people. Sasuke isn't doing anything different; he's belittling Naruto.
