Having selected to come in low and fast... you flip your fighter on its head and drop the nose, taking her into a steep dive. Keeping your eye strictly on the altimeter, you roll rightside-up once more and drop until you're well below one thousand feet before leveling off just above the surface.
[STAGE ONE!]
"INTERCEPT!"
Streaking along a hundred feet off waves at mach fifteen, your fighter produces so much friction from it's passing that you leave a glowing trail of fire, signature of the Phoenix' namesake.
The shockwave and back-blast from your engines disturbs the waves as you rocket along, your target oblivious to your approach.
A blip on your forward sensor grabs your attention, and the targeting computer brackets something dark on the horizon and bleeps a collission warning. You ease back on the stick and climb to four-hundred feet as whatever it is rockets by below you. You barely make out the blurred structure of a medium size surface patrol ship... Bright red markings on it indicate you just hypersonic-buzzed a Mid-Childan coast guard vessel.
Good thing you didn't crash. Maybe staying THIS low is a bit-
"Sea Gull Spirit to Port Gallium, we just got rattled by something... Damn! I've never seen anything that fast."
Your communications system is quite sophisticated, and local Mid-Childan safety operations frequencies and encryptions are no match for it as it quickly descrambles and lets you listen in on the short-band traffic.
"What? Sea Gull Spirit, what do you mean? What did you see?"
"I'm not sure! It was moving so fast and so low, leaving a trail of fire! The sonic boom blew out the bridge windows! My ears are still ringing. Can you spot it?
"Negative... It's too low, we can't track it with the port radar or sensors..."
"Turn a satellite on section four eight dash seven two... It's heading straight for Engagement Area Alpha!"
"Command channels are swamped, it'll take a few minutes to get a request through..."
"Don't give up! Area Alpha really don't need any surprises from what I've heard..."
Looks like you've made a minor error in assuming the open sea was an empty place, but no matter. It's not like they can shoot at you. Though given current tensions, it wouldn't be unexpected. Beats capital starship beam weapons certainly.
While they're busy trying to figure out what you are, and where you're going, though they have half of that already, you have a few options to take care of. You won't get any hints this time... So think VERY carefully about the potential pros and cons of each and every option.
A: Continue as planned.
B: Change heading and alter your approach pattern.
C: Break Radio Silence
D: Bug Out (Return to Base)
Again, we're not kidding. Even the most simple option here has unexpected drawbacks.
You have two minutes and twenty seconds to weight your options before TSAB command channels turn an observation satellite on your current path.
