Does anyone know/watched that 2003 New Years special of hikaru no go?

Spoiler for Hikaru no Go Christmas/New Years special:

He played that wierd guy near that was on par with hikaru, not touya akira, but some other guy from Hong Kong, they were to represent Japan somewhere or something? If i remember correctly, Hikaru played Centered posistion and it was an amazing game, maybe ended in a tie or something and now Akira, Hikaru, guy are representing japan?

or i can be horribly mistaken lol
