I intuited that the show would appeal to Alawa's tastes. I agree it's a stretch to call
Moribito an "action" show rather than simply a "drama." Sure it's a long way from
Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, but I keyed on the "badass" female lead and the strong plot. Balsa is much more complex than traditional "badass" characters, but you don't get to be a 30-yo bodyguard without that streak in your personality.
