Initially, I was indecisive whether or not to pick this show for the season, because I made my mind at selecting only four shows to watch in this winter's anime season. Nevertheless, I ended watching it as well due to after a week of inactivity in the internet.
Yuki Kaji is rising into the anime community fandom having a substantial schedule with last year's
Ao no Exorcist, the ongoing
Guilty Crown, and this recently started anime.
I will comment that the theme of an unfortunate boy getting killed, and later revived by a supernatural master whom always is revealed to be a girl reignites my love for previous shows like
Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka? and the
Princess Ressurrection OVAs.
To spice things up
High School DxD offers a lot of ecchiness fan-service substantially, though those are better appreciated if you watch the Director's Cut and will be more appreciated when the Blu-Ray version of the episodes come out.
The summary runs down the following:

1. Issei's a highly horny but healthy, high-school sophomore boy
2. Issei's got asked by a cute girl from another school to be his boyfriend and to get out for a date.
3. Issei and Yuuma have their first date together and made a happy experience out of it.
4. For a twisted tale of fate, Yuuma thanks Issei for the wonderful date and asks him to die for her sake as her wish.
5. Yuuma changes to Fallen Angel form, but Issei's able to get a good glimpse of her treasures (Nosebleeds) before she gets to impale him in the gut.
6. Issei regrets at not fondling her breasts for his dying wish, although he managed to date her and possibly kiss her.
7. Issei invests his last moments thinking about Rias, and how he's so drawn to her crimson red hair.
8. Issei wakes up next morning at home alive and in one piece, but his body starts to feel weird because he notices how all his five senses are extremely enhanced and heightened.
9. Issei gets the unexpected visit of a male fallen angel, whom starts to hunt him down much to the former's mind confusion.
10. Issei gets impaled again, and as he's dying he still thinks of Rias in both her looks and her breasts to fondle.
11. Issei wakes up safe and sound again at home the morning after the next one, but notices he's naked. Moreover, when he takes off the bed sheets he finds Rias asleep and totally naked. (Massive nosebleed outpour)
12. Rias wakes up and plafully greets her new slave, Issei, declaring she's a demon from the Gremory family, and from now on he'll live for her sake as she's become his master.
