It's hard to believe, but if that is official character data in the picture that Noppapana posted earlier then it is true! Since this is an image thread, I'll post the related data as an image.
IMO, Mikuru does not appear to be as short as she is because - with the possible exception of Itsuki - none of the rest of the SHnY crew is very tall either. The opposite sort of perspective applies to Ayu in
Kanon: she looks very short because the characters she is usually seen with are mostly taller than average.
