I don't wanna reread the chapter to compare but I think the adaption was beautiful.
The music was really nice and I can identify myself with Shiori, especially when she actually says something, and messes up.
It's a crucial problem for people who are used to conveyeing one's thoughts in form of non-verbal interaction, like thinking or writing.

"lolwut Kanon's arc is over HEY" the PFP commercial surprised me but it was funny.

Again, no problems with the pacing. Not too much happened but for showing Shiori's persona the atmosphere shouldn't be rushed anyway.

The only thing that actually got dragged along was when Shiori listed up all the definitions she could think of for books, but that's kinda the animation's fault (for showing the same scene over and over again just with different ones).

Shiori is lovely, Kana Hanazawa is doing a great job. Elaborating on a silent character is unique, I was afraid it would be hard to execute such a personality but it works, heh.
