How about ... 3 *people* accepting one another and living happily (especially since one of them has the unusual status of having memories of being male). The story isn't about orientation so much as people. Yasuna can't see males (even her father) but can see Hazumu whether as male or female ... Tomari just kind of expected to marry a guy (hopefully Hazumu) and has to adjust to the idea that expectation is going to have to curve if she really desires Hazumu.
Asuta had to come to terms with his buddy suddenly being "gone" and replaced with an attractive girl who had his buddy's memories. That could have been very interesting (too bad the anime dropkicked it early).
