As Ichika was heading to the lockers to change to their IS pilot suits, Magi and Empyrean were also prepping for training and patrols, Ichika simply slips on the two piece top of a pilot suit and within moments was ready to go. However, Magi and Empyrean had to switch to something much bulkier...by the time both were done, they looked something like this...
"That's a lot of stuff you have to put on, don't you feel heavy just wearing the thing?"
Magi shrugged and responded to him...
"You do know that AC combat and IS combat are two different things, while the girls can get away with wearing skimpy bathing suits (Not that I mind since Ling Yin has a fine ass), we AC pilots treat every battle seriously. Mock ones included...we can't just wear a tight plugsuit and call it a day but the risks and dangers of being in a cockpit that can cook your AC and turn the pilot to a baked treat meant we have to use different form of pilot suit. An Energy Barrier aint going to cut it in terms of personal pilot defense..."
Empyrean then interrupted Magi...
"To be precise, a Raven's pilot suit ensures their personal safety in piloting for battles so that midbattle injuries are minimalized. It doesn't stop a core breach but it will reduce being impaled by jutting metal parts."
Empyrean pulled out a hologram that shows the schematics of the Pilot Suit
"Our torso armor is meant to do 2 things, keep our temperature at acceptable levels while pilot and to protect us from harm. The suit uses a coolant composite that reacts different to major temperature swings, when the environment is extremely hot, the coolant reacts so it makes it colder for the pilot when it is getting hot. When subject to colder environments, the composite heats up so we don't freeze our butts off. It also comes with a LRP (Lateralized Readiness Potential), regulator which reads our mental output so we can try to remain calm in the heat of combat. The pilot suit iself is also meant to help us endure the insane amount of Gs we take from piloting these ACs.
As for the Helmet, it helps a pilot "eyeball" enemy ACs with advance sensory equipment. We don't know how well it will do against IS, but given the fact we can eyeball an Overboosting AC which reaches speeds of over 1000 km/h. We can say it is is pretty useful so far. It also provides oxygen to keep the pilot alert in high pitched combat were we are likely to pump more blood to our brain to focus...all in all pretty reliable..." Empyrean was about to finish when he sees Chifuyu....
"And that concludes our conversation, we got other pressing matters and will see you later..." As they saw Chifuyu, both ran quickly to the hangar for their daily tasks of the day...
