I read 真夜 either as "Mayo" or "Maya", and that was the reason why I had a bit of confusion :P
At least, this is 1000000000x times easier to do than the novel

Mayo is not an odd name, btw.
The funny thing is that "Mayo" in Spanish is also the 5th month of the year.
