The score said in ND2002, "The one who seek glory" shall destroy the island of his birth by his own hand, and the island is named Hod. I don't recall this was mention in the game until it was in the last part of the game. "The one who seek glory" is ancient way of saying Van's name. So it was in the score that Van would destroy Hod? Look like the story will go all the way to the end if they gave the one who played the game so much hints.

I think it was mentioned when Ion was forced to read the score at mt. Zaleho before Ion died

and yes, the only thing that was mentioned in the first part of the game was "the light of the sacred flame" (luke) will destroy the mining city along with own kind which was the reason for the war which will lead to Kimlasca's prosperity
