Sarah-as-Summoner is not the same frame of reference as Young Sarah, Tea-Party-Sarah, or Final-Scene-Sarah. Likewise, Andromalius is not always exactly the same, although his character arc is more obvious and consistent (it just has bits missing).
There may be a reason why the portrayal of Sarah is less coherent and more selective and extreme and the portrayal of Andromalius more reasonable and consistent. Who is the protagonist of

anyway?
Interesting, so if I read this right the implication is...
Spoiler
for
implication
:
Andy 'gains' a player later in the story.
At first he was just Sarah's demon of guilt when she wrote the story. Later, her adopted child Walter Absolom took it upon himself to get her to open up about why she is so messed up, and became Andy's player.
So, in essence,
the Andy within the fragment, and the Andy who debates with Battler in the meta-world during the fragment, were both written by Sarah and do not have a 'player' beyond her own guilt regarding her little brother.
This is supported by the mentioning of meta-world scenes as a 'Chorus' in the greek tragedy interpretation that Andy fends of Dlanor with. For that to be valid they must both be included in the original work as released on the internet.
The Andy who believed in Black Battler culprit theory was Walter shortly after he discovered the fragment and published it online.
He also inserted the 1996 scenes of chapter 3.
But then later Walter realizes that she's not the culprit-monster he fears and they reconcile.
