I actually thought the same thing as well.
I just kinda assumed there was a mechanism that prevented it that I don't think was mentioned.
Like the points they teleport to are random making getting a match difficult, or maybe even have a cooldown to that specific point on top of it.
But there doesn't seem to be anything particular preventing them from joining up with a group inside the dungeon if they do find them.
At least there's no mention of the dungeon going crazy to kill groups over 6.
There was another novel where if you went in with too many people, the dungeon would ramp up trying to kill them.
