Actually, for one magical girls in Madoka can at least in theory use magic to function even without vital organs such as the brain, but according to Urobuchi, it takes such a large toll on her soul gem that they turn into a witch extremely unlikely. If Puella Magi Sachi Magica was trapped in Sword Art Online, she'd probably turn into a witch due to her inability to hunt witches and cleanse her soul gem. And since that would in the hospital she was in, she might drag her some her friends into her barrier as well. The results would not be good.
