To be honest, if you want to sideline Ichika, just unperson Ichika probably enough, then focus on the heroines that aren't blinded by blind romance as result of that. For example, make it a companion to Cake eater.
Replacing him with an OC is neither good or bad, because it's your fic, thus it's your story. Just be sure you WANT to do that, and knew the merit and drawback.
