And its a hentai manga. Velvet Kiss is not a hentai.

There is a difference. Genetalia in Musa is shown (censorship like in most cases is laughable) in Velvet Kiss it is never shown.

Musa story is depressing and hardly romantic (it's a netorare). VK is much more romantic.
This is why I hate definitions of hentai. Both stories are hentai, they deal with explicit sexual content. Just because genitals are more or less covered means squat. It's semantics, like defining hardcore and softcore porn. It's still porn. It's the quality of the story that makes a difference between "I came here to check out your pipes *queues bow chika wow wow music*" and "hey, this story has an interesting story and characters, in addition to some hot scenes". It's like comparing Rosario and To Luv Ru Darkness, both are considered "ecchi", but one is clearly more explicit than the other.

NTR is applied to so much stuff these days I think it's lost some definition. Guy/Girl has sex with other people = NTR, nowadays. It used to be applied to more rage inducing scenarios involving cheating, and still is in some cases, but it's used way too liberally these days. I believe Musa handles the matter of conflicted relationships in a more mature and realistic way than most stories you could apply NTR to. I'd hardly call either Musa or Velvet Kiss romantic though I will admit that Musa is more tragic/bittersweet. I don't consider Velvet Kiss romantic because at least for now the relationship between the two leads is essentially sexual and forced. He doesn't have much choice but to do what she wants.

In the end, I guess it comes down to a persons comfort level with more taboo subjects.

Anyway, when I said people might like it, I meant they might like another erotic story that isn't just about getting to the next sex scene. Since that's fairly uncommon, I thought it might be nice to point out other examples, for example A Peephole (Nozoki Ana).
