Spoiler for ep1:
Works for me. I like the way the story is evolving, even though I'm not sold on the main voice yet (Hashimoto Mai), or her character design. I do like her face and blog, however, lol. At the end, the scene of her reacting to his being "interested in [her] body" was well done. It could have been so stale, but the pacing made it touching.
Interesting to see Sato Takuya here as the lead writer and the writer of this first ep: he was the director of NiEA_7 and Ichigo Mashimaro, and the lead writer on F/SN. Director Kato Toshiyuki did Full Moon wo Sagashite and a number of episodes of Simoun. I guess he's a Studio Deen staff guy. I liked the odd pacing, as if there was always an opening for something else to happen. The spare use of music contributed to that, too.
Maybe it's partly because I'm very sympathetic to her after her travails and triumph at Anime Expo, but I loved Momoi Halko's voice as the girl who befriends the protagonist.
