My problem with the Bunny-bot/Astro Bunny idea is that we did not know his parents were involved in robotics until recently, and we werent even aware of the possibility of advanced androids until episode 15. If it is revealed that he is some sort of robot after getting to know Barnaby after 20-some episodes, it would be a little annoying. However, this show uses plenty of clichees well and remains enjoyable. T&B could pull it off depending how they go about it.
So yes, it's not completely out of the question that Barnaby is an android or cyborg. Again, the work of his parents leads us towards that answer, along with his sketchy/programmed memory and his toy robot. The introduction of those relaxation chambers seemed odd and kinda random, so I could see them (whoever "them" is - Maverick, an unknown party?) messing with Bunny's memories whether he is human or not.
