After he explained how much gold coins were worth he looks like more of an idiot later on for losing that much money. But 500 coins over 10 years will pretty much set him up for life, if my understanding is correct.

I really hope there is a second season. It was very entertaining and while slow still managed to keep my attention.

I haven't read the manga yet so i dont know about the plot. I hope it isn't simply him losing all his money again and again and horo bailing him out. I do want to see more of the wolf side which was pretty neglected in the first season.

How much was it? 1 gold coin worth 35 trenni silve, whereas with 1 Trenni silver you can live for 7 days.. But that is if you live humbly.. So imagine that if you want to live normally you want 2-3 silver per week, maybe even more.. Furthermore, there was a discussion about those 500 silver he "earns" in 10 years.. So I can think of a couple of ways to explain this:
1- He sells that contract to his company, and gets paid what the company gives him, but he doesn't recieve any money from those 500..
2-even if he gets that money, 50 silver a year is still not a grand sum for him to stop his journey..
3-he earned a bit more actually after the gold smuggling deal in the end of the season..
