This can all be blamed on two simple facts:
1. That Ken Akamatsu really thought that it would be a bright idea to have the Magic World arc be the last major arc in Negima (despite the HUGE amount loose plot ends) and have the last twenty chapters consist of epligoue stuff.
2. That Ken Akamatsu is unable to give Negima an ending that actually feels as if there's some decent closure (instead, we get the awful Sport Festival storyline, a crisis involving Asuna that's easily solved via time travel,
