Yeah, that's also when I get a bit of a Post-Anime Depression.

If I didn't care about the characters all that much, I can usually move on easily.

If I was happy with the ending, then to me it's like a good/great end to a great story, something to be cherished in my memories (and occasionally in fanworks and fan-discussions) rather than to be depressed over it ending.


But when an anime I truly liked (and with at least a few characters in it that I became attached to) gets an ending that I disliked, that's probably the roughest for me, because I know that's it. There's no possibility of "improvement", there's no way I can hope for a different ending. It's over. Questions of "What could have been?" plague my mind a bit.
