Even though the message was posted a long time back at the top of the page, I wanted to update what someone said about taking the Amtrak in to Penn Station and then walking to the convention center.
Another option is to take the lightrail from Penn Station to Camden Yards or the Convention Center (one stop before Camden Yards). It's under $2 for a one-way trip and saves you about 40 minutes of walking.
