Not to mention, IMO Sakurasou anime is not even that good anyway (I can say that as a LN reader...). But then, both Mashiro and Nanamin were quite strong in prelim.

well, isn't that what i said, not many people will become fans after watching anime and there aren't that many people who read the VN. Anime factor in ISML is more crucial than other factors, usually.
Look at Silica, her anime part was quite good, so she got a lot of votes and i bet large part of those votes aren't from people who read the LN.
I wish there was a social survey like there was one back in the day, so we could know what kind of source material people use and what are their preferences.
