If those shows have a shorter episode count, it's probably to allow time for whatever's happening over new year's break, so the time probably isn't available to the production committee.
But, scheduling a special broadcast won't be too hard in any case; they'll do when it's ready. They could also go the online-only route as they've done a few times now as well.
