I know I shouldn't be talking about manga comparisons in this anime thread, but on the same note, instead of being nearly kidnapped at the gate, Mikan was getting tricked to go to some cram school (fake of course) in order to get into Gakuen Alice in the manga version. Yes, she'd be losing money in both instances, but getting scammed just sounds better than getting kidnapped; I wonder why they changed it into something a lot darker? |
They only get 20 seconds of screen time, its just easier to convey to the audience. In a manga you can ream out a wall of text and it doesnt break the flow, but in an animation things have to move quickly.
Anyway, I'm liking this show so much I may have to start raw-hunting.
