Volume Control Options => Recording, check if microphone is enabled. If it is, it should work just like so. Be sure to check recording is also enabled in the Realtek Driver Panel. I can't check where, as I don't use Realtek.
When done, recording should work just like so .. I guess you need some programs to actually record though? Google is your friend there.
