It's not impossible unless you were being beaten back toward Owari. If you held your ground, you would have outlasted them.
This is compared to the Demon Army in Kenshin and Isoroku Routes were they are COMPLETELY invincible until the appropriate events trigger.
Even Demon King Route was easier than Kenshin/Isoroku DAs. I raged hard when I conquered South Africa in Isoroku.
