Just finished this and its a blast.
To answer abit of these questions
Spoiler:
- For the experiment at Red Rose, it was clearly in the three frog bar thingie.
- Makes sense to me, he was in love with the mother, whom then he realised what wrong he had done. But it was too late, many knew about this. Thus, he needs to "erase the memory of the experiment", probably to atone for what he has done. The only way to remove this? Kill everyone that knows about it.
- Johan in Kinderheim seems to be different. If I'm not wrong, KP, or Bonarparta, no longer is in the business anymore. He is probably "Repentent", and goes back to the hometown of Ruenhiem. Was kinda hinted abit by the avid book collector, where his stories no longer have malice, though his artwork has gone worse.
- I guess the experience was too huge, Johan just fell into "wonderland" and think its his. Though yeah, its kind of strange for Johan to fall into that, then again, thinking of the age they are in at that point in time, its quite possible.
- To disguise such that people think they have one child. Though I don't get why they do this.
- They were at the czech border because they wanted to escape as far as possible, as what Poppe has said.
Now, I have some questions...
Yep. Those 3 are the things that are bothering me most. Overall, I love monster, the story is top notch, and I loooooove the final arc.
