Well...this definitely went against the trend.

As in who stepped up and who lowered their colours.

Durant lowered his colours tonight. Some of his fouls are just pointless. He has got to step getting in foul trouble so early if OKC are going to win. And Westbrook needs to perform more outside of transition. Perkins lifted and matched Bosh. Lebron was his usual best and Wade kept up with him. It was a very weird game in that only the Durant/Westbrook and James/Wade combos made significant scoring contributions. There wasn't anyone else who got more than 10 points. Harden gave away some stupid fouls - why on earth they fouled so many 3s/deep jump shots tonight was rather confusing. Their inexperience at the final stage is showing somewhat. Silly fouls across the board cost them tonight and 10 point differential for the L/W combo vs the D/W combo means someone else had to lift for OKC and didn't.

This is what I wanted to see from Miami. Their defense is quite resilient and in the clutch they are holding their nerve better. Continue that aggression in the paint and denying OKC transition and it's theirs.
