Nope, a pure chi attack that involves formula involves no formula is not magic.
Life force and mana is also different.
Magic is defined as magic because it requires formulas and borrows otherworldly laws. And life force is considered natural by IB, it'll mot get cancelled. But once life force gets refined into mana, IB will cancel it.
