I guess the author turned it into Matrix'esque style. The will of the user, if strong enough, can bend the laws of a virtual world.

If anything Asuna surpassed the law of SAO, moving despite being paralysed/whatever that was by Kayaba. He even says there shouldn't have been a method to free oneself.

Well, you could say in this episode Asuna's will has 'overwritten' the numerical values of SAO (moving despite paralysis from game admin).
