There is one piece of Background music that stands out, well at least for me.. Its played quite a bit. Ex. Start of Episode 3 just before Haruhi walks into the computer club & Start of episode 4 moments after Haruhi walks into the Club room. Also in episode 5 when Haruhi walks into the room with Isuki for the first time.
(They play it in nearly all the episodes as far as I remember)
The music in the show is great! without it the show can suffer quite a bit, episode 8 was a bit too quite.. most of the time, but it picked up at the ending.
