They've repeated enough that his memories were destroyed, as opposed to some other sort of amnesia...
So. He knows nothing about magic anymore (wonder what he thought of Firestarter's brief letter), or even his own power. Now we'll never know why he decided to call it "Imagination Breaker".
And wasn't Index supposed to go back to the Church or something? I don't think The Church would appreciate having their control mechanism on Index destroyed...
