...which basically translates to "I think there are a few times in life when you need to make a decision. Do I want to be loved by you...Do I want to help you..." And apparently Hayate's predicament and Gilbert's rather insensitive words helped her make a decision!

I'm going to do a little speculation here....

For Hina to think Hayate loves weak girls tells me Hayate still hasn't reveled his innermost heart to anyone. In a way, if you look at it, Hayate admires very strong girls (Athena & even Nagi who he owes a lot). Athena being one of the very few people who can beat him up (not sure about now).

I wonder if Hayate will reveal his past w/ Athena's before her appearance. If he does reveal it - who will he tell it too?
