After watching episode 3 I think it is not a stretch to say that Kaos buys figures that represent the female ideal she admires (and feels she will never be able to attain).
If this continues Kaos will fight with Kuroki (from Watamote) for the title of the girl everybody wants to hug and tell her everything will be alright.
