Then why did she leave Ilya there in the first place? Why did Ilya say Arata was important to Hijiri? And most importantly, if this were true Arata would likely lose it and destroy the entire world in a rage. As much as he likes the other girls, Hijiri is his motivation for
everything he has done so far.
