Well Winter is a minor season just like Summer, don't know why people always go "Winter/Summer looks awful compared to Spring/Fall". Like no shit, Spring and Fall are the major seasons, the majority of hyped releases will air than.
With that said the two biggest hits of anime in the last 12 years in regards to volume sales both came from minor seasons... but it's not like they had massive hype beforehand.
