If you notice, that's a LCD monitor he's using, but since this movie takes place in January 1999, were LCD monitors available during that time or it's a mistake by the animators?

Excuse me while i'll have some "What if?" dreams of that scene tonight.

that along with earlier when Azaka first meet Shiki are my fave scenes in the whole movie.
