So it seems to correlate with major events happening every 7 years. The dark haired kid could be possibly 6/7 years old as well. It would be strange to be Natsu's son, since he doesn't seem to be interested in romance yet. I still think the kid is related to Zeref somehow, maybe a reincarnation of Zeref and maybe Mavis?

Also, since they showed the kid, I am guess he will somehow travel back in time, or everyone on the island will witness a timefreeze. If I'm not mistaken, all the strongest and major Fairy Tail members are currently on the island, except for Laxus, whom I'm expecting to see at some point due to the intro.

So with the tree preventing Fairy Tail members from dying before, it now explains why Mirajane survived the exploding bomb. It also sort of explains why the exploding energy seemed to have moved from Mirajane to the tree in the scene.
