I think Meiya is the most prominent one outside of Sumika from the rest of the girls, so not doing her route during Unlimited basically take away all of emotional impact involving her during the course of MLA. She's the only one from Unlimited, aside from Yuuko, that still get considerable amount of screen time, roles and development.
Unless you are playing for other "reason", then I don't see why skip Meiya.
