Golden Time is another somewhat recent anime show that I probably would have liked better if it didn't have a certain controversial element. And there are other shows I could name, but I don't want to drag this thread off on a big tangent.
Basically, I'm a bit leery of anime shows having one lone fantastical/supernatural element, because it tends to feel overly gimmicky to me, when I encounter it in anime.
But hey, this show may well be an exception to that, and I hope it is. For what it's worth, that "thing in the sky" certainly looks great. It's well-drawn and well-animated at least. |
I'm hoping this turns out like Anohana which also used a supernatural element.
