Like Raiser said, is very improbable, the story didn't allow for romantic developement, if some romance ever is explored i think it will be kind of a "Macross Romance" or a "Gundam" one, something like
"our hearts find comfort in each other and togheter gather strenght to survive this difficult times of war" or something like that.
