I completely agree with this, I think Kyousuke's Dad raised a good point about confiscating the R-18 material. I mean yes, almost everyone would have porn before they're of age, and there's nothing the parents can do about it, but as long as they aren't adult yet and they still live under the same roof then they still have to live by their rules. Not just their rules, really, the fact that it's already rated 18 and above means the rule comes from the game developer as well, and the father can't be faulted at all if he want to confiscate that. Speaking of which, as Kirino certainly doesn't fap to the games and is in it mostly to see the cute little sisters' behavior towards their brothers, I think having the all-ages version would be no problem. Of course, knowing the target market, I'd suppose that a lot of games in those genre will be R-18....
And really, this is why Kyousuke is truly amazing; not only did he stand up for his sister, he even went out of his way to take a bullet in order to protect his sister. He doesn't even need to go that far either, most of these is due to Kirino's fault anyway (advise: please buy less fashionable bags if it means that stuff will fall down less often. Seriously, this is the 2nd time already).
Another thing that causes me to sympathize with Kyousuke is that I got the impression, from the dining table conversation last week and the fact that the father is way angrier at Kirino than at him, that the parents simply care less about him than they do to Kirino. He's not that bad, just average, but it really pales in comparison to Kirino who is pretty much perfect in most accounts (looks, academics, physical fitness, etc). They don't compare him to his little sister anymore; it's like that as long as Kirino is amazing and he doesn't bring shame to the family, he can be doomed in mediocrity for all they care. And yet despite all that, when the opportunity comes to show that at least there's one aspect where he is more favorable than Kirino in his father's eyes, he still protect her, even debase himself further. Kirino really owes him big time; the gratefulness at the end is cute and a nice start, but it's nowhere near enough compared to his sacrifice.
In short, I'm really impressed with Kyousuke that while at first I (and probably many others too) hope that if they have a little sister, they wish that it's as cute as Kirino, now I change my mind. Now, I hope that if I has an older brother, I wish that he'll be as awesome as Kyousuke. I wish that if the focus shifted more on Kyousuke in future episodes, it'll give an opportunity for Kirino to repay his kindness and show her appreciation of his brother, perhaps even eliciting the phrase "there's no way my older brother is this awesome"
